always make my heart tight
but that always inspires me to write
so yeah pain is like my flashlight
or my umbrella
or a strange bedfellow
yeah pain pushes me to the next level
so no need for a shovel
just a pen
yeah just a friend
or a computer
to keep me company
or sane
yeah in this pain of rain
but in it i gain
yeah in this frame of mind
i shine
like a dime-piece
to the police
but i get release
so i guess this is a good friday after all
