EYE CONTACT

i have seen some pretty amazing things
in my dreams
like the dead come back to life
yeah all thanks to Christ
i sometimes get a slice
of my idea of paradise
yeah as i sleep in my bed
my head and my heart
take part
in something so rare
like a rainbow
or a red blood moon
but i am fully in tuned
or should i say consumed
by my rapid eye movement
to realize what surprise
that lies ahead of me
but my spirit is free
or open
or hoping
for some bright insight
unlike any other
under the cover
and my spiritually brother understands that fact
so i often times look forward to going back
to sleep
but not because i'm weak
but because i love
