my life
is not about me
so i see
yes it's all about the almighty
and what he wants
to be done
that why he sent his son
in the first place
yes much deeper than mercy
and grace
or even this human race
as i take up space

this i am so clear
even though i am dear to him
my life
so dim and slim
next to his
and business
because he is the one
who planned man's feet and hand
on this land
of sand
dirt
and rock
as well as the time
on the clock
and i am just a number
who can not slumber
or go under
until God's will
